HELEN'S STRING BEANS 
1 lb. string beans, cut in 2 inch pieces
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 c. cheese, grated
Garlic, to taste
Fresh OR dry basil, to taste

Steam string beans for 5 minutes and drain. Heat oil in pan and saute vegetable and garlic for 3 minutes. Add bread crumbs, cheese and pepper. Toss together and garnish with basil.

You may use other vegetables - broccoli florets, asparagus, etc.
