SARAH'S SWEET PICKLE STRIPS 
Wash and cut cucumbers into 4 strips lengthwise. Place in bowl and pour boiling water over them. Weigh them down with a plate and let stand overnight. Drain. Pack strips into sterilized pint jars as full as you can get them. Solution:

3 3/4 c. white vinegar
3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. salt
4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
3/4 tsp. mustard seed

Boil 5 minutes. While hot, pour over strips in jars. Cold pack 5 minutes no more.
