3 c. sugar 3/4 c. butter 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme 1 c. chopped nuts (if desired) 1 c. peanut butter 1 tsp. vanilla Stir together butter, milk and sugar in heavy 3 quart saucepan. Bring to full boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes over medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees F., stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in chocolate until melted. Add remaining ingredients, peanut butter last. Mix until well blended. Pour into greased pan. Cool at room temperature and cut into squares. |
