BEEF STROGANOFF 
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 lb. round steak
2-3 tbsp. shortening
1 c. mushrooms
1 med. onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 can condensed beef broth
Little flour
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. sherry

Cut all fat from meat. Cut into serving pieces. Combine salt and flour. Lightly pepper each piece. Pound flour and salt into both sides of meat. Heat shortening until very hot. Quickly brown meat on both sides. Add finely chopped onion and garlic. Brown. Add bouillon. Cover and place in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove meat. Add flour to stock for gravy. Add water if necessary. Cook until gravy thickens. Add sour cream and sherry and meat. Heat briefly.
