BANANA BREAD 
3 tbsp. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. sour cream
2 c. all-purpose flour (plain)
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. mashed bananas
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Cream sugar and shortening, add egg and sour cream. Mix well. Combine flour, salt, soda and baking powder, add to cream mixture alternating with mashed bananas. Add lemon juice. Stir well. Put in greased loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees 45-50 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
