DILL PICKLES 
1 qt. cider vinegar
3 qt. hard water
3/4 c. canning salt
1 slice onion
Dill on top and bottom of jar
1 tbsp. mustard seed

Bring to rolling boil the first 3 ingredients. Fill jars with cucumbers, onion and dill. Add boiling vinegar solution. Seal jars.

Note: Revised canning methods call for processing quart jars 15 in a boiling water bath. Consult your favorite canning reference for more details on proper canning techniques.

Enough for 8 quarts.
