BREAD AND ONION STUFFING 
1 c. butter
1 c. finely chopped onion
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
3 qt. cubed day old bread
1 1/2 c. hot water or bouillon

Melt 1/4 cup fat in a large skillet. Add onion and saute until yellow but not brown. Add remaining fat and stir in seasonings. Add half of cubed bread and cook about 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Combine with rest of bread cubes in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle hot water or bouillon over mixture, tossing until well blended. Pile lightly into poultry.
