GOOD CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. (heaping) cocoa
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
Shake of cinnamon

Mix sugar and flour together and set aside. In saucepan, heat to boiling point; butter, cocoa, shortening and water, pour over flour and sugar mixture. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix well then pour into oblong shallow pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. (heaping) cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Shake of cinnamon (optional)

Put butter, cocoa and milk in saucepan, heat until it begins to boil while stirring. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour on cake while hot. Nuts may be mixed with frosting or sprinkled on top of cake.
