BEET JELLY | |
Boil 6 large beets in 10 cups of water. Wash them good, but don't peel them. Cut them in quarters or a little smaller if you want. You can eat the beets after you cook them until tender. It makes 2 batches, but only make 1 batch at a time. 4 c. juice 5 c. sugar 1/2 c. lemon juice 1 pkg. pectin (I use M.C.P.) 1 sm. pkg. Jello any flavor (not lemon, orange, lime, etc.) Bring the juice, lemon juice, pectin and Jello to boil. Then add sugar and bring to full rolling boil for 2 minutes. |
