PEANUT BRITTLE
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 c. white Karo syrup
2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. butter

Mix sugar, syrup, and water together and cook until it will spin a thread. Then add peanuts, stir continuously. Cook until syrup turns cream color (brown) and makes it strong. Remove from heat and add butter and soda. Stir fast until well mixed. Pour onto 2 greased cookie sheets. Spread thin. When cool, break into pieces. When cool and broken, put in containers that are tight as moisture makes it sticky.

NOTE: You will have to work fast when you beat your soda, salt, and butter in. Spread it thinly on the cookie sheets fast.
