2 c. water 3 tbsp. oil 1 tbsp. powdered alum 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. salt Bring to a boil the water, oil, alum and food coloring. Mix the flour and salt; add the boiling water solution and stir until fairly well blended. Then knead until it is completely mixed. Once in a while I've had to knead little extra flour into the mixture. This is the recipe I've used for the kids in Little Lambs. We have it out for about 20 minutes each Tuesday and it will last us about 12 weeks when stored in an airtight container. |
