BANANA PUDDING | |
2 qt. sauce pan 2 c. (1 - 13 oz.) canned milk Mix with water until its 4 cups. Put on the stove and cook over low heat to scald (forms film). Separate 6 eggs, stir yolks. 1 c. sugar 3/4 c. self rising flour Now pour into milk on stove, stirring as your pouring. Stir until thick (burner on high). Be careful this can scorch. When thick, stir about 1 1/2 cups of the pudding mixture into the egg yolks. This will keep the pudding mixture from becoming lumpy. When mixed, pour egg yolks into pudding on the stove. Stir until mixture on stove boils (about 1 minute). Stir in 2 tablespoons butter and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Set off to cool (for quick cool set open freezer for 15 minutes). Put cookies in bowl, bananas the pudding. Continue to layer until there is no more. Now top with Cool Whip. Takes approximately 6 bananas. Leave out cookies and bananas. Add cocoa to sugar and flour mixture. |
