MILE HIGH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 (9" or 10") baked pie shell
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
1/2 c. sugar
2 lg. egg whites, room temp.
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
1/2 c. whipped heavy cream

Optional: Whole fresh strawberries for top garnish.

Place strawberries in large bowl. Add whites of eggs, sugar, lemon juice and salt. Beat with electric mixer for a full 15 minutes (will be stiff and hold peaks). Add whipped cream and vanilla and fold in. Place mixture in pie shell. Freeze 4 to 6 hours before serving.
