2/3 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1/4 c. chunky peanut butter 1 tsp. vanilla 4 c. quick oats (not instant) 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips 2/3 c. chunky peanut butter 1 c. chopped walnuts FIRST LAYER: Melt butter in large saucepan. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, peanut butter and vanilla. Stir over low heat until melted. Add oats and stir well. Pour into well-greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Pat down with a spoon. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until brown. Remove from oven and spread with second layer. SECOND LAYER: Melt chips together over low heat in a clean saucepan. Add peanut butter and chopped nuts. Stir well and spread over warm first layer. Cool. Refrigerate to set chocolate before cutting. |
