NEVER-FAIL GINGERBREAD 
1/2 c. melted shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. hot water

Combine shortening, sugar and molasses. Add sifted dry ingredients, alternating with hot water. Beat until smooth. Bake in a greased 6 x 10 inch pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm.
