JUDY'S CHOCOLATE SILK PIE 
1 pie crust, baked
1 1/2 sticks soft butter
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. superfine sugar
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1/4 c. sliced, toasted almonds

Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar slowly and continue beating. Add 2 eggs and beat 3 minutes. Add last egg and beat 3 minutes. Pour mixture into pie shell and refrigerate.

Whip the cream and spread over top of pie when ready to serve. Top with almonds.
