RAISIN BARS 
1 c. raisins
3/4 c. thawed frozen concentrate apple juice
2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

In small saucepan, bring raisins, apple juice, and shortening to a boil. Remove from heat and cool.

Mix remaining ingredients except walnuts. Stir into raisin mixture. Stir in walnuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Put in 8 inch pan, sprayed with Pam if non-stick, otherwise if regular pan then grease it.
