OLD FASHION ICE CREAM 
3 (13 oz.) cans evaporated milk
2 milk cans of water
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs, beaten
2 sm. pkgs. ice cream mix
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen unsweetened strawberries

Mix milk, water, sugar, vanilla, eggs, and ice cream; mix in a large pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. When bubbles appear around edges; remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Stir in frozen strawberries.

Pour into freezer container. Put dasher in place. Cover and adjust crank. Place container in freezer tub. Fill tub 1/2 full of ice, then a layer of freezing (ice cream) salt. Alternate ice with layers of salt. Turn crank until it turns with much difficulty. Drain water from freezer tub. Remove lid; take out dasher. Replace lid and repack with ice and salt.
