CAKE & JELLY TARTS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
Pie pastry
Apple jelly - or any other kind of jelly

Make yellow cake batter. Cream butter. Add salt and vanilla. Gradually blend sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift the flour, measure and sift together with the baking powder. Add alternately with milk to the creamed butter and eggs mixture.

Line muffin tin with pastry into each pastry cup put 1/2 teaspoon of jelly. Then drop spoonful of cake batter so that the tin is 3/4 full. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
