APPLE WALNUT CAKE 
4 c. chopped apples (fresh)
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten slightly
1/2 c. melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. black walnut extract
1 tsp. salt
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped walnuts

Combine apples and sugar; let set 15 minutes. Melt butter; add to apples and sugar. Add eggs and flavorings. Mix together well. Combine all dry ingredients together; add to apple mixture, then add nuts. Pour into greased and floured 12 x 9 x 2 inch pan; bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

SAUCE AND CAKE:

1 stick of butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. Pet milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil 3 minutes only. Pour over hot cake right out of oven.
