OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE 
1 c. oats
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 lg. or 3 med. eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa
3/4 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 10 minutes. Stir in sugars and butter. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Stir in half of the chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts and remaining chocolate chips over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
