TAMALE PIE 
1 onion, diced
2 lbs. ground beef/turkey
2 lbs. cheddar/Monterey Jack cheese, sliced 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lg. can peeled tomatoes
2 med. cans tomato sauce
1 can Mexicorn
1 lg. bag tortilla chips
Salt, pepper to taste
Vegetable oil

Saute onion in very large frying pan coated with oil. Add beef/turkey, garlic, salt and pepper. Brown. Add tomatoes, sauce and corn. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Line large baking dish with enough tortilla chips to cover bottom of dish. Spoon layer of meat mixture on top of chips. Cover with sliced cheddar/Monterey Jack cheese. Repeat chips/meat/cheese layers once. Bake in 325 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until cheese melts.
