CHERRY TORTE 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1 stick plus 1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. confectioners sugar

Cut in the butter with flour and sugar until blended. This mixture will line a 9-inch pie plate (Pyrex plate). Pat into place with hands. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. Don't overbake.

FILLING:

1 box Dream Whip
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond flavor

Prepare 1 box Dream Whip as directed on package. In another bowl, beat 8 ounces cream cheese and 1 cup confectioners sugar until fluffy. Fold in cream cheese mixture into Dream Whip. Pour into cooled crust. Add 1 teaspoon almond flavor into cherry filling. Arrange this on top of cake and refrigerate.
