BUTTERMILK COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Beat Crisco, sugar and eggs to a cream. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to sugar mixture, beating after each addition. Make 1 large and 1 small coffee cake, top with topping before baking.

TOPPING:

2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
6 level tbsp. butter

Mix thoroughly and put on cake before baking for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
