GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. baking mix Biscuit or Jiffy mix 2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese 4 eggs 1 (15 oz.) tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. oregano 3/4 c. water 1/4 c. butter Brown ground beef; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, 2 tbsp. baking mix, pepper and oregano. Heat to boiling. Boil and stir about 1 minute. Pour into ungreased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with cheese. Heat water and butter to boiling. Add 1 cup baking mix all at once. Remove from heat, beat in eggs, one at a time until smooth. Spread over beef all along sides. Bake until golden brown at 350 degrees about 30 minutes. |
