CREAM CHEESE & BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 lb. cream cheese
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
Apricot preserves
1 c. ground walnuts & sugar, mixed
2 egg whites, well beaten with sugar to taste

Mix together butter, cream cheese, vanilla and flour until it forms a dough. Leave in refrigerator overnight. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 20 minutes at 350 degrees until brown. Spread on preserves and egg whites mixed with sweetened ground walnuts and bake until brown, 20 minutes. Cut into strips.
