CARMELITA BARS 
32 caramels
5 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips

DOUGH:

1 c. melted butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/3 c. flour
1 1/3 c. oatmeal
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix together ingredients for dough. Press 3/4 of it in a 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 12 minutes. Cool.

Melt 32 caramels, adding milk. Spread carefully using fork onto cooled crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 6 ounces of chocolate chips. Add remaining dough mixture crumbled over top. Bake again 10 minutes.
