1 c. shortening or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. mince meat

In large bowl cream shortening or butter. Gradually add sugar, blending well after each addition. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in mincemeat.
