Awesome recipe, I make it for myself and friends- a crowd pleaser. I add 2-3 spoonfulls of strawberry Chobani Greek yogurt...delicious!

If you cut a banana in pieces and freeze in a baggie with the berries of choice, the smoothie will be chilled with no ice, therefore thicker.

This was very good. I added vanilla and honey and let it whip in the blender. It was thick and creamy and very very good. I wouldn't want the extra calories from ice cream. This was great just the way it is written.

 Jenny (Tennessee) says:
I just added a few extra strawberries. I like it as is and I love that people are talking about a healthy treat and then suggesting adding ice cream which completely ruins that.

I have a smoothie every morning for breakfast and usually one in the afternoon for a refreshing snack. I make numerous variations using different fruits. I add one tablespoon of ground flax seed for fiber at breakfast, and may add a little yogurt to make it thicker. But this particular smoothie is my all time favorite.

Very good. I added ice cream and the vanilla and only a 1/2 cup of ice chips. Came out really thick and creamy.

 Swapna (New York) says:
It was excellent because I put in a dash of honey and 9 cups of strawberry ice cream. I put those things in because i wanted it to be smooth, thick and sweet. It is also because i wanted to feed it to my sister and my peeps. I really have a crush on the smoothie.

If you add ice cream it becomes a milkshake which defeats the point of having a smoothie. I love this simple recipe. Its healthy and delicious.
