BARLEY CASSEROLE 
1 c. pearl barley
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. sliced almonds
2 tbsp. sherry, to taste

In large saucepan, brown barley in butter. Combine mushrooms, soup mix, chicken broth, almonds and sherry. Combine the 2 mixtures in a greased casserole. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Stir once or twice during baking. Makes 8 servings.
