WATERMELON PUNCH 
1 large watermelon
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 liter ginger ale, chilled

Trim off bottom of watermelon to make flat. Cut out top. Scoop out pulp and mash. Measure 1 gallon watermelon juice and set aside. Combine sugar and water and bring to boil. Add gallon watermelon juice. Chill. Just before serving, add ginger ale. Stir gently. Serve in watermelon shell.

Serves 30.
