BUTTER - CREAM FROSTING 
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar

Melt 1/4 c. butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour. Gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Cool to room temperature; add vanilla. Cream remaining butter with sugar until fluffy; gradually add milk mixture, beating until frosting is fluffy and of spreading consistency, about 5 minutes.
