OATMEAL SCOTCHIES 
1 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firm packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla or grated peel of 1 orange
3 c. quick or old fashioned uncooked oats
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) butterscotch chips

Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Beat together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla or orange peel until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats and butterscotch chips. Drop tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewier cookies, 9 to 10 for crisper cookies. 4 dozen cookies.
