NUT COOKIE CRUST 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 425 degrees.

1. Mix butter and sugar in large bowl. Stir in other ingredients just until crumbly.

2. Press into bottom and side of pie tin. Build up to 1/2 inch edge. Flute if desired.

3. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake until knife comes out clean from center (about 45-55 minutes).

4. Cool pie crust completely.

WHIPPED CREAM TOPPING:

1 c. chilled whip cream
3 tbsp. brown sugar

1. Beat whip cream and brown sugar together until stiff.

2. Cover the pie crust.
