CARAMEL APPLE WALNUT SQUARES 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. chopped walnuts
20 caramels
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (20 oz.) can apple pie filling

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, oats, sugar, soda and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups on bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes. Add walnuts to reserved crumb mixture.

Melt caramels with sweetened condensed milk, stirring until smooth. Spoon pie filling over crust, top with caramel mixture, then reserved crumbs. Bake 20 minutes or until set. Can be served warm with ice cream.
