2 c. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. creamy peanut butter 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1/3 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Decorator's icing Few drops blue food coloring 4 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. In large mixer bowl, beat peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar until light. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir in flour mixture. Divide dough in half. Wrap in plastic wrap; chill 1 to 2 hours. Roll dough 1/4" thick. Cut with 3" or 5" bear cutter. Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool 1 minute. Remove cookies to wire rack; cool. Prepare Decorator's Icing, omitting vanilla. Transfer about 1/4 of frosting to small bowl; stir in blue coloring. Pipe onto cookies for eyes. Stir cocoa powder into remaining icing. Pipe onto cookies to make suits and buttons. Makes 48 (3") or 16 (5") bars. |
