BLUE RIBBON COOKIES 
1 box Town House crackers
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 can Eagle Brand milk

Toast crackers on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Cook dates, lemon juice and milk until thick over medium heat, stirring constantly. Spread mixture on crackers and bake 8 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool, frost with browned butter icing.

ICING:

1/3 c. butter
3 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk

Brown butter lightly. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Add vanilla, then add milk until spreading consistency.
