BREAD & BUTTER PICKLES 
1 lg. cucumber, sliced (2 c.)
1 med. onion, sliced thin & round
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/4 tsp. celery seeds
1/4 tsp. turmeric

Mix all in a 2 quart bowl. Microwave on High for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring twice, until cucumber is crisp and tender. Ladle into a glass jar, cover, cool. Keep in refrigerator.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
