BAKED SWORDFISH
2 lbs. fresh swordfish steaks
1 stick butter
Juice of 1 lemon
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/4 c. white wine Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, pressed
1/4 c. mayonnaise

This recipe works well with salmon or other fish steaks. Place fish in lightly greased baking dish. In small saucepan, melt butter then add lemon juice, Worcestershire and garlic and saute a few minutes until garlic is golden. Remove from heat and blend in mayonnaise until smooth. Spoon over fish, cover and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until fish flakes easily. If you prefer your fish a bit on the dry side, do not cover.

Thought I would try this, Loved it couldn't get enough of the sauce even used bread to sop it up. Didn't know what to do with the onions so I threw it in with the garlic. Will be making this again.

In response to an earlier comment, the recipe lists onion as ingredient, then drops further mention! I sauteed it in butter as first step, later used Worcestershire sauce itself (not having the wine version), tossed in a handful of capers, used 1/2 cream cheese and 1/2 mayo to finish as directed and half an hour later had the most delish baked swordfish ever! (Worcestershire sauce and mayo --who knew?)

The first ingredient in Lea & Perrins is white vinegar. Close enough, I figure.
