CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pack chocolate chips
1 c. pecans (opt.)
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream together the Crisco and both kinds of sugar. Add flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix ingredients together. Stir in vanilla flavoring. Add oatmeal (quick cooking oatmeal works best). Add chocolate chips and pecans. Drop cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
