CHEESE-BROCCOLI-HAM STRATA | |
12 slices white bread 3/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, sliced 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli 2 c. diced, cooked ham 6 eggs, slightly beaten 3 1/2 c. milk 2 tbsp. instant minced onion 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. dry mustard Cook and drain broccoli. With a doughnut cutter or with large and smaller size glasses, cut 12 "doughnuts" and "holes" from the bread. (Bread that has been frozen and then defrosted cuts easiest.) Remove the crusts from the bread scraps and fit them into the bottom of a 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Layer in the cheese, broccoli and ham. Arrange the bread "doughnuts" and "holes" over the top. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the top. Refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours. Bake, uncovered in a 325 degree oven for 55 minutes. |
