MIXED VEGETABLE CASSEROLE 
2 pkgs. mixed vegetables
1/2 c. water

Cover and cook 5 minutes. Pour any remaining water into measuring cup and save. Put vegetables in a shallow baking dish.

1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
2 tbsp. butter

Stir well. Prepare sauce separately.

SAUCE:

1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. flour
2 c. liquid (vegetable water and milk)
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1/8 tsp. garlic salt

Add a pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of thyme, mix well and pour over top of vegetables. Pull fresh bread into pieces, lay thickly over top. Drizzle with 1/4 cup butter over bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
