HOMEMADE CHOW MEIN | |
1/4 c. butter 1 onion 1 1/2 c. meat, diced (chicken, beef, or turkey) 1 c. celery 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 c. hot water 1 can chop suey vegetables, drained THICKENING: 1/3 c. water 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. soy sauce Melt butter. Add cut up fine onion and fry 5 minutes. Add meat and fry a little longer. Add celery, salt, pepper, and hot water. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add rained chop suey, vegetables, and thickening. Stir and cook 5 minutes. Serve with rice and chow mein noodles. |
