PINEAPPLE PUDDING CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 med. Cool Whip
2 sm. pkg. vanilla pudding (not instant)

Prepare cake according to package directions in a 12 x 15 inch sheet cake pan. Let cool and prick the top of cake with fork. Prepare vanilla pudding according to directions on pack. Let cool. Prepare pineapple by adding sugar and cooking until pineapple comes to a boil. Let cool.

When the pineapple and pudding is cool spoon pineapple with juice over cake and top pineapple mixture with pudding. Allow pudding to set. Spread Cool Whip over pudding and sprinkle with chopped nuts or cherries.
