SQUASH PATTIES 
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. onion
1 c. cooked, mashed squash
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 tbsp. sugar
Dash pepper
Oil

Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Drop by tablespoons in 1/8" of hot oil. Flatten patties to 1/4". Cook to golden brown. Zucchini may be substituted for the squash.
