HOMEMADE COBBLER - QUICK AND EASY | |
FILLING: 1 lg. can (29 oz.) fruit (cherries, peaches, etc.) 1 c. sugar (1/2 c. for sweetened fruit) 1/2 stick butter DOUGH: 1 egg 1/2 c. Crisco 1 c. sugar 1 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla Pinch of salt Boil fruit and sugar until sugar dissolves. Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Slice butter and place on top of fruit mixture. Mix dough by hand, creaming sugar and Crisco. Drop dough on top of fruit mixture by heaping teaspoons. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. |
