TOFFEE-TOPPED PEACHES 
2 to 3 fresh peaches (or 1 x 16 oz. can peach halves)
1/2 pt. double cream
6 oz. Demerara sugar (dark brown sugar)

Peel and slice peaches and lay in the bottom of an oven proof dish, reserving some for decoration. Lightly whip cream and spread over peaches. Chill. Just before serving, sprinkle over sugar and grill until sugar melts. Place reserved peaches (slices) on top in a star pattern and serve at once.
