Use for pot pies. 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. shortening (Crisco) 6 tbsp. cold water Sift the dry ingredients together. Cut in the Crisco as you would for pie crust. Add cold water and combine quickly. Do not over mix. Roll out on floured board to 1/4" thickness. Use as a crust for your favorite pot pie recipe. Wet dry edges slightly with water to make them stick together. Pan should be greased and floured. Bake at 325°F until crust is browned and filling is thoroughly cooked and bubbly. |
