MY FAVORITE POTLUCK SALAD 
1 head lettuce, cut in pieces
1 c. diced celery
1 c. sliced carrots
1 med. onion, chopped
4 hard boiled eggs, sliced
12 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
1 c. frozen peas, thawed and uncooked

Layer lettuce, celery, carrots, peas, onion, eggs and bacon in a 9x13 pan (in the order given).

DRESSING:

2 c. salad dressing
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

Mix dressing and spread over vegetables. Chill. When ready to serve, sprinkle 1 cup shredded cheese on top.
