GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
8 lg. potatoes
1 c. bacon bits (real or imitation)
1 sm. onion, diced
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. vinegar
Salt and pepper

Boil potatoes whole until done, peel and dice. Place in bowl, add bacon bits and diced onion. Set aside.

In small pot, add vinegar and oil and cook to a boil, adding salt and pepper to taste. Pour over potatoes, bacon and onion, mix all ingredients. Can be served hot or cold.
